Cineflix Rights has acquired international distribution rights to a trio of documentary series – Ted Bundy: Serial Monster, Alcatraz The Greatest Escapes and Weird, True & Freaky – from Hoff Productions; with plans to launch all three at MIPTV later this month.
Four part series Ted Bundy: Serial Monster examines the serial killer’s roots, how he outwitted an army of investigators and how, even behind bars, there was no way to stop him; while two-parter Alcatraz The Greatest Escapes features new evidence, never-before-seen archival footage, and interviews with guards and inmates to tell the incredible story of “The Rock” and those who tried to escape it.
Weird, True & Freaky is a ten episode nature series series that uncovers some of the world’s most unbelievable and scariest animal encounters ever caught on camera. The show features nature’s most terrifying confrontations gone horribly wrong. The deal for distribution rights to all three shows was brokered by Cineflix Rights’ Senior Vice-President of Co-Production and North American Acquisitions Anthony Kimble.
“Hoff Productions is known for producing powerful, insightful, and entertaining content–there’s no doubt that these three shows will perform well in the international market”, Kimble said in a statement. “Ted Bundy: Serial Monster and Alcatraz: The Greatest Escapes bring new insights to infamous global icons, while Weird, True & Freaky will have viewers squirming in disbelief!”
