Netflix has renewed their half hour comedy series One Day At A Time – which airs on this side of the pond on Netflix UK – for a third season. The renewal, which comes some two months after the second season premiered, is for another thirteen episodes.
One Day At A Time follows three generations of a Cuban-American family navigating the ups and downs of life. A newly-single mom and military veteran journeys through the triumphs and tribulations that come with raising two strong-willed, mega-millennial children, all the while enlisting the “help” of her old-school mother and her building manager-turned-invaluable confidant.
The comedy series, which is a reimagining of the Norman Lear series of the same name, is produced by Sony Pictures Television and stars Justina Machado, Rita Moreno, Stephen Tobolowsky, Todd Grinnell, Isabella Gomez and Marcel Ruiz. It was co-created by Gloria Calderon Kellett and Mike Royce, who also serve as co-showrunners. The duo also executive produce alongside Michael Garcia and Brent Miller. Season three is eyed for a 2019 premiere.
