The second season of Irish legal drama Striking Out will receive its UK premiere on 5Select on Thursday March 15th at 9pm, it has been announced.
Striking Out follows the tumultuous professional and personal life of Dublin-based solicitor, Tara Rafferty, and her fledgling legal firm. The drama series stars Amy Huberman, Tara Rafferty, Rory Keenan, Neil Morrissey, Emmet Byrne and Fiona O’Shaughnessy. Created by James Phelan, Striking Out is produced for RTÉ by Yvonne Donohoe of Blinder Films with international co-financing from DCD Rights and Acorn Media Enterprises and funding from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI).
In the show’s second season, Tara strikes back. Confidently now her own boss, morally challenging scenarios will push Tara and her team in their personal and professional lives. Tara and Eric’s complex relationship remains centre stage, and the arrival of Eric’s brother Sam brings added tension and intrigue. Eric will face tough personal and professional choices in this series as he investigates the increasingly dubious actions of his father, Richard Dunbar. Tara finds herself sharing an office space with the formidable George Cusack, a criminal solicitor with a sharp mind and even sharper tongue.
