The eleventh season of The X-Files will receive its UK premiere on Channel 5 on Monday February 5th at 9pm, it has been announced.
Created by Chris Carter, The X-Files follows FBI Special Agents Dana Scully and Fox Mulder, as they investigate unexplained cases – “X-Files” – for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena. The drama series is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Ten Thirteen Productions and stars Gillian Anderson, David Duchovny, Mitch Pileggi and William B. Davis.
In the opening episode of the show’s eleventh season, titled My Struggle III, which picks up from the cliffhanger events in the season ten finale, Mulder and Scully learn that they aren’t the only ones desperately searching for their long-lost son, William. In fact the very fate of the world may depend on it. Annabeth Gish, Chris Owen, AC Peterson, Barbara Hershey, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose and Anjali Jay guest star. Chris Carter and Glen Morgan serve as executive producers.
