Amazon Prime Video UK has released a new trailer and the poster for the back half of the first season of The Tick, which is set to launch on the streaming service on Friday February 23rd.
The Tick is set in a world where superheroes have been real for decades and follows an accountant with mental health issues and zero powers who comes to realise his city is owned by a global super villain who has been long-thought dead. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero. Together, they launch into an adventure brimming with crazed arch villains, blood-soaked vigilantes, mad science, and superhuman freakery.
Ben Edlund created the comedy series, which has yet to be picked up for a second season. It is produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television and stars Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy), Griffin Newman (Vinyl), Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen), Valorie Curry (House of Lies), Yara Martinez (Jane the Virgin) and Brendan Hines (Scorpion). In the six new episodes, Evil is on the march, and The City is right in its way. Something terrible is going to happen, and Destiny needs her champions now more than ever. The Tick and Arthur round up the gang in a crash collision course between justice and villainy.
