BBC One Sets Premiere Date For ‘Still Open All Hours’ Season 4

The fourth season of Still Open All Hours will premiere on BBC One on Sunday January 7th at 7:30pm, it has been announced.

Still Open All Hours follows Granville who some years back inherited the shop from his beloved but miserly Uncle Arkwright. He now runs it with his son Leroy, a cheerful, good-looking lad with more female admirers than Granville ever had. The comedy stars David Jason, James Baxter, Tim Healy, Stephanie Cole, Sally Lindsay, Maggie Ollerenshaw, Johnny Vegas, Kulvinder Ghir, Brigit Forsyth, Nina Wadia and Geoffrey Whitehead.

In the opening episode of the show’s fourth season, which picks up following the Christmas special, Granville has a new idea for growing the business: he’s offering fitness classes. But can he really turn Gastric into a greyhound, and is that the right way to Madge’s flinty heart? At the other end of the scale, Mr Newbold believes he has hit on the perfect way to repel the attentions Mrs Featherstone – all he needs is a completely new image. But do even worse perils than the black widow lie in wait for the new look ‘Pit Bull’ Newbold? Meanwhile Leroy is keen to take out a librarian (who is refusing to give him a date), and Granville has a range of experimental WiFi underpants to shift – but are his customers really ready for that level of digital connectivity?
