BBC Two Sets Premiere Date For ‘Motherland’ Season 1

Category : News, UK News

The first season of Motherland will premiere on BBC Two on Tuesday November 7th at 10pm, it has been announced.

From Graham Linehan and Sharon Horgan, Motherland explores the trials and traumas of middle-class motherhood, looking at the competitive and unromantic sides of parenting – not the cute and acceptable public face of motherhood. The comedy series is produced by Merman and Delightful Industries and stars Anna Maxwell Martin, Diane Morgan, Philippa Dunne, Lucy Punch and Paul Ready.

In the opening episode of the first season, which comes after last year’s broadcast pilot, Julia moves out of her comfort zone and reluctantly invites the entire class to her kid’s birthday party. With her Mum still refusing to help out she relies on Liz’s party hacks and Kevin’s entertaining skills. And anyway, she organises events for a living, this will be a breeze!
