UKTV’s Good Food Orders Donal Skehan Food Travelogue ‘Asian Baking Adventure’

Good Food has signed up Donal Skehan for their next show. The UKTV owned channel has given the green-light to Donal Skehan’s Asian Baking Adventure, a ten episode food travelogue fronted by the Irish food writer, photographer and television presenter.

Asian Baking Adventure will follow Skehan as he heads east to explore the flavours and secrets of Asian baking, with stops in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Malaysia. Skehan will gather inspiration from a range of local experts to pull together his top 20 easy recipes for fantastic Asian bakes.

As with a number of Good Food’s previous food travelogues, the ten episode series is an AFP (advertiser funded programming) commission. It is being produced by Denham Productions, with Cen Media and the Korean Communications Agency providing funding.

Donal Skehan’s Asian Baking Adventure was commissioned by UKTV’s Senior Commercial Partnerships Manager Kate Norum and Good Food’s General Manager Luke Hales. The executive producer for UKTV is Natalie Rose. “We’re delighted to be working with Denham again on what promises to be a truly revelatory look at baking and its growing popularity across Asia”, Norum said in a statement. “After their recent success with John Torode’s Korean Food Tour we have no doubt that this new adventure with Donal will be a ratings winner for the Good Food channel.”
