Sky Living Acquires NBC's Newest 'Law & Order' Series 'True Crime', Sets September Premiere – TVWise

EXCLUSIVE: Sky Living has agreed a deal with NBCUniversal International Distribution to acquire NBC’s newest Law & Order series True Crime.
Law & Order True Crime is an anthology series, in a similar vein to American Crime Story, that tells a different true crime story each season. The show’s first season, subtitled The Menendez Murders, will tell the story of Lyle and Erik Menendez, two brothers who were convicted in 1996 of murdering their parents and sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
The series, which unlike the other Law & Order entries will be heavily serialised, was created by Dick Wolf, with Rene Balcer serving as the showrunner. Law & Order True Crime is being produced by Universal Television and stars Edie Falco, Heather Graham, Miles Gaston Villanueva, Gus Halper, Carlos Gomez, Lolita Davidovich, Josh Charles, Julianne Nicholson, Anthony Edwards, Elizabeth Reaser, Chris Bauer, Sam Jaeger and Constance Marie. The executive producers are Wolf, Balcer, Peter Jankowski, Leslie Linka Glatter, and Arthur Forney.
