DHX Media is adding to their executive ranks. The Canadian media company has hired Corus Entertainment’s Jerry Diaz to serve as Vice President of Distribution.
In his new role, Diaz will be responsible for managing the global sales and distribution business for the company, which specialises in kids and family content such as Degrassi and Teletubbies. He will report to Josh Scherba, DHX Media’s Executive Vice-President of Content and Distribution.
Diaz’s career has spanned three decades and he is a veteran of the global content distribution business. He Joins DHX from Corus, where he led global sales and distribution for their animation arm Nelvana Enterprises for the past seven years. Prior to that, he held key distribution roles at ABC/Disney, Heart Entertainment and TVL. Diaz also ran his own company for two years, representing such producers as TV-Loonland (TVL), Evergreen Entertainment and Scholastic Entertainment
