The third season of W1A will premiere on BBC Two on Monday September 18th at 10pm, it has been announced.
From Jon Morton, W1A – a reference to the postcode area in which New Broadcasting House is located – follows Ian Fletcher, former Head of the Olympic Deliverance Commission, taking up his next big job as the (fictional) Head of Values at the BBC. The comedy series is produced by BBC Studios and stars Hugh Bonneville, Jessica Hynes, Sarah Parish, Jason Watkins, Monica Dolan and Nina Sosanya.
In the six episode third season, the cameras will be following Ian and his team during and post Charter Renewal, reacting to the BBC’s new mission statement of doing More Of Less, which as Head of Output Anna Rampton (Sarah Parish) describes as being about “putting what we do best front and centre and about identifying better ways of doing less of it more”. Jon Morton wrote and directed the new episodes. The executive producer is Jon Plowman, while Paul Schlesinger is the series producer.
