ITV Orders New Music Show 'Your Song' From Syco & Thames – TVWise

ITV is re-teaming with Syco Entertainment and Thames for a new music show. The commercial broadcaster has given the green-light to Your Song, a one-off special that will feature some of music’s biggest stars.
Fronted by Emma Willis, the special will celebrate the lives of real people who have done something extraordinary – and see them being given the performance of a life-time from some of their favourite artists. It it set to air on ITV in a prime-time slot this autumn.
“This is such an amazing show to be part of… imagine seeing somebody you love, and who is so deserving being surprised with the performance of a lifetime by their musical hero!”, Emma Willis said in a statement. “I think there’ll be plenty of tears, hugs and happiness!”
This marks the latest collaboration between ITV, Syco and Thames after such projects as The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, the latter of which is officially the most successful reality format in the world. Your Song was commissioned by Siobhan Greene, Head of Entertainment Commissioning, Broadcasting, ITV. Amelia Brown (Britain’s Got Talent) and Sally Wood (Brit Awards) will serve as executive producers.
“Your Song is an extremely exciting project that we have been developing for some time. We are now delighted it is coming to fruition”, added Nigel Hall, Global Head of Television for Syco Entertainment. “And we are sure it will bring surprise, entertainment and emotion to everyone at home. We all have that special song which means the world to us – and it will be really exciting to see superstars perform them for their biggest fans.”
