Channel 4’s new comedy-drama series Loaded will premiere on Monday May 8th at 10pm, it has been announced.
Loaded follows tech entrepreneurs and friends Josh, Leon, Watto and Ewan, who have just sold their start up videogame company for hundreds of millions of pounds – the culmination of a billion man-hours of blood, sweat, toil, coding, shouting, swearing, fighting, hugging, pitching, grinding, and, occasionally, showering. Overnight, the four 30-something friends are transformed from “people who play games” to “serious players in the game.”
The comedy-drama series was penned by Jon Brown and is based on the Israeli series Mesudarim, created by Muli Segev and Assaf Harel. Loaded is set up as a co-production between AMC, Channel 4, Hillbilly Television and Keshet UK and stars Jim Howick (Yonderland), Samuel Anderson (Doctor Who), Jonny Sweet (Him & Her), Nick Helm (Uncle) and Mary McCormack (The West Wing). The executive producers Kate Norrish, Polly Leys, Howard Burch, Avi Nir, Muli Segev, Assaf Harel and Jon Brown. Charlie Leech is the series producer. Raised By Wolves helmer Ian Fitzgibbon directed the first three episodes.
