Gold Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘Bridget & Eamon’ Season 2

The second season of Irish comedy series Bridget & Eamon will receive its UK premiere on UKTV’s Gold channel on Friday May 12th at 11pm with a double-bill, it has been announced.

Bridget & Eamon is set in the 1980s and follows aspirational housewife Bridget and her hapless husband Eamon. The unhappily married couple live somewhere in the Irish Midlands with their indeterminate number of children. The comedy series stars Bernard O’Shea, Jennifer Zamparelli, Norma Sheahan, Eleanor Tiernan, Sharon Mannion, Colum McDonnell and Edwin Sammon.

In the show’s second season, Bridget and Eamon open a hair salon in the house, go to up Dublin to a fancy restaurant for the first time ever, lose their minds when they miss a phone call, run for election, solve a murder case, play a dangerous game of sunburn roulette, get a visit from the Mafia and maybe accidentally kill Eamon’s Mammy. Guest stars include Mark Huberman and Aoibhinn McGinnity, Anne Gildea, Joe Rooney, Kevin McGahern, John Colleary and Pat McDonnell.
