Just as they have in previous years, The CW announced a litany of renewals for their existing scripted line-up during their executive panel at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour.
Getting the nod for next season is Arrow (season six), The Flash (season four), Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (season three), Supernatural (season thirteen!), Jane The Virgin (season four), Supergirl (season three) and DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow (season three).
“Over the past several seasons, The CW has built a schedule of proven performers, from our lineup of DC superheroes, to critically acclaimed comedies, to sci-fi dramas,” said Mark Pedowitz, President of The CW. “Early pickups of these seven series now allow our producers to plan ahead for next season, and gives us a solid base to build on for next season, with original scripted series to roll out all year long.”
All seven of the renewed series have homes here in the UK. Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow air on Sky1; Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is available exclusively Netflix UK; while both Supernatural and Jane The Virgin air on Channel 4’s digi-net E4. There has been no decision on the fates of The CW’s remaining series, including The 100, No Tomorrow, Frequency and the upcoming Riverdale – the latter of which was recently acquired by Netflix UK.
