Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN)has secured format sales for Lip Sync Battle in Hungary, Slovakia, and Israel, TVWise has learned. Additionally, the company has set option deals for the format in Turkey and the Czech Republic.
Developed for Viacom’s Spike network in the United States, the original series is hosted by two-time Grammy award winner, LL Cool J, co-host Chrissy Teigen and has featured an array of A-list musical combatants.
This new round of sales – which will see local versions produced for RTL Spike in Hungary, Markiza in Slovakia and Keshet in Israel – comes off the back of the successful launch of the UK version of the series, which has been picked up by Channel 5 for a second season. Discovery has optioned rights in Turkey, while Prima holds the option for The Czexh Republic.
