The third season of AMC’s computer drama Halt & Catch Fire will receive its UK premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday August 24th, TVWise has learned.
New episodes will then continue to be made available to Prime members ever Wednesday, less than 24 hours after they air in the United States.
Halt & Catch Fire captures the rise of the PC era in the 1980s and focuses on four main characters attempting to innovate against the changing backdrop of technology. The AMC Studios produced drama stars Lee Pace, Scoot McNairy, Mackenzie Davis, Kerry Bishe and Toby Huss. Joining the cast in recurring roles this season is Annabeth Gish as Diane Gould, a seasoned Silicon Valley venture capitalist; and Manish Dayal as Ryan Ray, a talented and ambitious programmer.
In the show’s third season,which picks up in March 1986, Mutiny leaves Texas for the big leagues of Silicon Valley. Founders Cameron Howe (Mackenzie Davis) and Donna Clark (Kerry Bishé) search for the idea that will launch Mutiny as a player, but new collaborators test their partnership. Gordon (Scoot McNairy) struggles to find a place within his wife’s company as Joe McMillan (Lee Pace) builds upon his empire, reinventing himself with a bold play that shocks the Valley and sends him back into the lives of his old partners
