Close to two months after the show’s second season dropped on the streaming service, Netflix has officially pulled the trigger on a third season renewal for their Kyle Chandler fronted drama series Bloodline.
The streaming giant has ordered ten episodes for the show’s third season, which will premiere globally in 2017. That is in line with the ten episodes ordered for season two, but down from the 13 episode pick up for the show’s debut run.
From the Damages team of Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler and Daniel Zelman, Bloodline tells the story of the Rayburn family, whose secrets and scars are revealed when eldest brother and black sheep of the family returns home. The drama series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and stars Kyle Chandler, Sissy Spacek, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini, and Norbert Leo Butz.
“Todd, Daniel, and Glenn have created a riveting family saga featuring one of the most talented ensembles in the history of television”, said said Netflix’s Vice-President of Original Content Cindy Holland, who ordered the third season. “We can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds for the all-too-human Rayburns,”
