John Stamos Joins Fox’s ‘Scream Queens’

John StamosGranfathered and Full House star is joining the cast of Fox’s horror-comedy anthology series Scream Queens as a series regular for its second season, TVWise has learned.

From Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, Scream Queens is an anthology series that on new storylines each season. The show’s first season followed a series of murders on a college campus, while season two will be set in a hospital, where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation.

John Stamos will play Doctor Brock Holt, the hospital’s brilliant, but secretive, head surgeon. He joins a cast that includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Glen Powell and Niecy Nash, who are all on-board to reprise their roles from the show’s first season.

The casting re-unites Stamos and series creator Ryan Murphy, who previously worked together on Glee and The New Normal. The actor, best known for his role on Full House, recently reprised his character Jesse Katsopolis on spin-off Fuller House. His other TV credits include General Hospital, Necessary Roughness, Galavant, Entourage, Two and A Half Men, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and ER.

From Ryan Murphy Television and Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision in association with 20th Century Fox Television, Scream Queens was created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, who also serve as writers and directors on the series. The executive producers are Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan and Alexis Martin Woodall.
