The second season of USA Network’s hacker drama Mr. Robot will receive its UK premiere on Amazon Prime Instant Video UK on Thursday July 14th, it has been announced.
New episodes will then continue to be made available to Amazon Prime members every Thursday, less than 24 hours after they air on USA Network in the United States, through to the second season finale in September.
Mr. Robot follows Elliot, a programmer who suffers from a debilitating anti-social disorder and decides that he can only connect to people by hacking them. He wields his skills as a weapon to protect the people that he cares about. Elliot will find himself in the intersection between a cybersecurity firm he works for and the underworld organizations that are recruiting him to bring down corporate America. The drama series is produced by Universal Cable Productions and stars Rami Malek, Christian Slater, Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin and Martin Wallstrom.
The show’s ten episode second season will explore the consequences of fsociety’s 5/9 hack on multi-national company Evil Corp as well as the illusion of control. Guest stars for the new season include Craig Robinson (The Office), Sandrine Holt (Fear The Walking Dead), Michael Maize (National Treasure: Book Of Secrets), Dorothi Fox (Run All Night) and Luke Robertson (The Americans).
