Fox's 'Rosewood' Adds Sherri Shepherd In Recurring Role – TVWise

30 Rock and The Soul Man star Sherri Shepherd has been tapped for a recurring role on Fox’s Morris Chestnut fronted procedural Rosewood, TVWise has confirmed.
Per Deadline, who broke the casting news, Shepherd will play Anita Eubanks, a new medical examiner who is described as being “confident, flirty, playful, smart, wise-cracking and good at her job”. She is an old friend of Rosewood and does a favor for him by providing some unexpected information.
Rosewood, which has been picked up for a full season at Fox, has been building an impressive roster of recurring players. Murder In The First star Taye Diggs previously joined in the recurring role of Dr Mike Boyce, a world-renowned infectious disease doctor based in Miami and the longtime best friend of Dr. Beaumont Rosewood; while earlier this month Tia Mowry was also tapped for a recurring role on the procedural.
Rosewood follows Dr Beaumont Rosewood Jr, the top private pathologist in all of Miami. whose eternal optimism will frustrate the cynical female detective he often works with, but she can’t argue with the results that his unique perspective provides. The drama series is being produced 20th Century Fox Television and stars Morris Chestnut, Jaina Lee Ortiz, Gabrielle Dennis, Anna Konkle and Maggie Elizabeth Jones.
