WGN America’s atomic bomb period drama Manhattan will receive its UK premiere on AMC UK on Tuesday January 5th at 9pm, it has been announced.
Manhattan is set against the backdrop of the greatest clandestine race against time in the history of science – the mission to build the world’s first atomic bomb in Los Alamos, New Mexico – and follows the brilliant but flawed scientists and their families as they attempt to co-exist in a world where secrets and lies infiltrate every aspect of their lives.
The drama, which hails from Skydance Television, Tribune Studios and Lionsgate Television, was created by Sam Shaw and stars John Benjamin Hickey, Olivia Williams, Daniel Stern, Ashley Zukerman, Rachel Brosnahan, Katja Herbers, Alexia Fast, Christopher Denham, Harry Lloyd, Michael Chernus. The executive producers are Sam Shaw, Thomas Schlamme, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Marcy Ross and Dustin Thomason. WGN America has already ordered a ten episode second season, which is currently airing in the United States.
