NBC's 'Chicago Med' Adds 'Alias' Star Carl Lumbly In Recurring Role – TVWise

Alias star Carl Lumbly is checking into Chicago Med.
The veteran character actor, who played Sydney Bristow’s (Jennifer Garner) partner Marcus Dixon on all five seasons of Alias, has landed a recurring role on the Chicago Fire spin-off, TVWise has learned.
Chicago Med is described as an emotional thrill ride through the day-to-day chaos of the city’s most explosive hospital and the courageous team of doctors who hold it together. Familiar faces from the Chicago police and fire departments will intertwine as this third team of Chicago heroes hits the ground running.
Carl Lumbly will recur as Bert Goodwin, the husband of Gaffney Chicago Medical Center administrator Sharon (S. Epatha Merkerson). Once virile and robust, Bert’s sudden physical ailment factors into his relationship with his wife and the hospital she works at. The actor, repped by Kass Management, is coming off of a recurring role on CBS’ Summer series Zoo.
Set to premiere on Tuesday November 17th at 9/8c, Chicago Med stars Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Nick Gehlfuss, Yaya Dacosta, Colin Donnell, Brian Tee, Rachel DiPillo & Torrey DeVitto. The medical drama was created by Dick Wolf, Matt Olmstead, Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, all of whom serve as executive producers on the Universal Television produced series alongside Danielle Gelber, Peter Jankowski and director Joe Chappelle.
