Remy Blumenfeld’s independent production company Thinking Violets has poached ITV Studios’ Fernando De Jesus as Creative Director, TVWise has learned.
As Creative Director for Thinking Violets, Fernando De Jesus will be responsible for developing engaging shows for the indie, which could play across multiple platforms. “Remy has the uncanny ability to create a working environment which nurtures freedom, growth and new ideas”, said De Jesus. “With his leadership, I hope to create some incredible programming.”
He joins the indie from ITV Studios, where he has been based for the past seven years, working on a wide range of series including Paul O’Grady’s For The Love Of Dogs, Britain’s Secret Treasures and Paul O’Grady for the Love of Dogs at Christmas.
“Fernando is an innovator with a passion for technology who’s drawn to stories with heart, humour and style”, said Remy Blumenfeld, the former ITV Studios exec who set up Thinking Violets in 2013. “He’s fascinated by how to challenge the status quo to create entertainment of the future. I couldn’t be more delighted to be working with him again.”
