Law & Order veteran Elisabeth Röhm has joined the cast of TNT’s genre drama series The Last Ship in a recurring role for its thirteen episode third season, TVWise has learned.
She will recur on The Last Ship as Allison Shaw, the newly appointed White House Chief Of Staff, serving under President of the United State Jeff Michener (Mark Moses, Homeland).
Elisabeth Röhm is arguably best known for her four season stint on the original Law & Order, where she played Assistant District Attorney Serena Southerlyn. Her other notable television credits include Heroes, The Client List and Beauty & The Beast; while most recent she had a series regular role as Amanda Taylor on Kevin Williams’ short-lived CBS thriller Stalker.
The Last Ship picks up in the wake of a global catastrophe that nearly decimates the world’s population. Because of its positioning, the Navy destroyer U.S.S. Nathan James avoids falling victim to the devastating tragedy. But now, Captain Tom Chandler and his crew must confront the reality of their new existence in a world where they may be among the few remaining survivors.
Based on the novel of the same name by William Brinkley, The Last Ship was developed for television by Hank Steinberg and Steve Kane. The Platinum Dunes produced series stars Eric Dane, Rhona Mitra, Adam Baldwin, Travis Van Winkle, Charles Parnell, Christina Elmore, Sam Spruell and Marissa Neitling. The executive producers are Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, Hank Steinberg, Steven Kane and Jack Bender.
