Cinemax Sets Premiere Date For 'Banshee' Season 4, Releases New Trailer – TVWise

Cinemax has announced that the fourth and final season of Banshee will premiere on Friday January 29th at 10/9c. Additionally, the network has released a trailer for the final season.
From Jonathan Tropper & David Schickler, Banshee follows Lucas Hood, an ex-con and master thief who assumes the identity of the sheriff of Banshee, Pa., where he continues his criminal activities, even as he’s hunted by the shadowy gangsters he betrayed years earlier. The drama series stars Antony Starr, Ivana Milicevic, Ulrich Thomsen, Frankie Faison and Hoon Lee. The final season of Banshee will premiere on Cinemax in early 2016.
Speaking of the decision to end the show, Tropper said: “Banshee has been an incredible ride, and we continue to break new ground in season four. While we certainly considered returning for a fifth season, I always said that when the story was told, it would be time to move on, and that time has come. I am grateful to Cinemax for making Banshee the great success it has been and for supporting our creative decision to wrap things up.”
While Michael Lombardo, President of HBO Programming, added: “Banshee is a unique and compelling show that helped set high standards for original programming for Cinemax. The show’s exceptional blend of action and drama earned a vocal and passionate fan base that will not be disappointed in Banshee‘s final season.”
