E4 Sets UK Premiere Date For 'Empire' Season 2 – TVWise

The second season of Fox’s ratings juggernaut Empire will receive its UK premiere on E4 on Tuesday October 6th at 9pm, it has been announced.
Created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, Empire follows Lucious Lyon, the CEO of Empire Entertainment and a former street thug whose reign has been unchallenged for years. But when he learns he has a disease that is going to render him crippled and incapacitated in a matter of three years, his three sons battle it out for control of their father’s corporation. The drama series is produced by 20th Century Fox Television and stars Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Malik Yoba, Kaitlin Doubleday, Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley, Grace Gealey, Bryshere Y. Gray, Jussie Smollet, Trai Byers and Gabourey Sidibe.
The show’s 18 episode second season, will pick up three months after Lucious’ shocking arrest and incarceration at the end of last season. Knowing Lucious won’t be held much longer in prison, Cookie and her allies within the Lyon family make a desperate attempt to seize control of the company. But as the Lyons continue to battle each other, a bigger external threat emerges that could force them to unite. Guest stars lined up for the new season include Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz, Adam Rodriguez, Alicia Keys, Marisa Tomei, Ludacris and Pitbull.
