Portrait Artist Of The Year is heading to the United States.
Arts focused cable network Ovation has secured the U.S. broadcast rights to the Sky Arts series after striking a deal with international distributor Zodiak Rights, TVWise has learned. Ovation’s deal with Zodiak covers the first two seasons of the show.
Hosted by Joan Bakewell and Frank Skinner, Portrait Artist Of The Year follows Bakewell, Skinner and an esteemed group of judges as they search across the UK and Ireland for a new star of the art world, whether amateur, professional or hobbyist Celebrities who have their portraits painted over the two seasons include Hilary Mantel, John Hannah, Sophie Turner, Simon Weston, Sophie Dahl, Maisie Williams, John Humphrys, Julian Fellowes, Richard Dawkins and Alan Cumming.
