Greg Rikaart (Bones, The Young And The Restless) has been tapped for a recurring role on the back-end of the fourth season of TNT’s hit procedural Major Crimes.
Per TVLine, the actor will play Bobby G. Monroe, a confident young lawyer and anti-death penalty activist who is representing Slider, the defendant in the Alice Herrera case. Said case, which was investigated and “closed” in season three, became a focal point of the first leg of season four, with Rusty, now credentialed as a journalist, digging around to uncover Alice’s real name and find her family.
The casting news comes less than a week after TNT confirmed to TVWise that they had extended the run of the show’s fourth season by handing it a five episode back order. All told, the fourth run of the series, which is a spin-off/continuation of The Closer, will run some 23 episodes.
Major Crimes returns to TNT on Monday November 2nd at 9/8c.
