BBC Two Releases Trailer For Danny Baker Comedy 'Cradle To Grave' – TVWise

BBC Two has released a trailer for Cradle To Grave, their eight episode comedy series which is inspired by the life of Danny Baker and is being toplined by Peter Kay.
Based on Danny Baker’s autobiography Going To Sea In A Sieve, Cradle To Grave is set in the mid-1970s and follows the real-life events of 15 year-old Danny Baker and his family, who are facing some tough times. Danny Baker and Jeff Pope penned the scripts for Cradle To Grave, which is being produced by ITV Studios. Jeff Pope serves as the executive producer, while Sandy Johnson is attached to direct.
Peter Kay (Phoenix Nights) leads the cast as Fred ‘Spud’ Baker, Danny’s father. Other series regulars include Lucy Speed (The Bill) as Bet Baker, Fred’s long suffering wife; Laurie Kynaston (Doctors) as a young Danny Baker; Alice Sykes (Silent Witness) as Sharon, Danny’s sister; and Frankie Wilson (Grantchester) as Michael, Danny’s brother.
