A+E Networks UK's Heather Jones Promoted To SVP, RTL's Nicolas Eglau Named COO – TVWise

Following the departure of A+E Networks UK MD Tom Davidson, the company has promoted Heather Jones to the position of Senior Vice-President, Content & Creative. Additionally, RTL Netherlands exec Nicolas Eglau is joining A+E Networks UK as Chief Operating Officer.
In her new role, Heather Jones will manage all of the company’s creative units, including Programming, Marketing and Communications, Creative and Digital. The exec, who joined A+E in 2013 following stints at MTV, Paramount Comedy and North One Television, will also continue to serve as General Manager, UK – a position she has held since February of this year.

Nicolas Eglau, meanwhile, is set to take up post next month and will be responsible for managing A+E Networks UK’s operating and commercial including Finance, Legal, Operations, Strategy, Distribution and Ad Sales in the UK and a range of other territories. He will also serve as General Manager for the Nordics, the Benelux and CEEMEA; overseeing the company’s offices in Copenhagen, Warsaw and Johannesburg.

Both Heather Jones and Nicolas Eglau will both report into Dean Possenniskie, who took over Tom Davidson’s responsibilities as of July 20th as part of his current role as Managing Director, EMEA for A+E Networks. Jones and Eglau, serve as two thirds of A+E Networks UK’s leadership team. The third leadership post is held by Karl Burnett, Vice President of Human Resources, who also reports directly to Dean Possenniskie.
