Nathan Lane Set As F. Lee Bailey In FX's 'American Crime Story' – TVWise

FX has found their F. Lee Bailey.
The network has set The Good Wife star Nathan Lane to play the famed attorney in American Crime Story, their upcoming ten episode anthology series from Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, Deadline reports.
From Ryan Murphy, American Crime Story will focus on a new “true crime” case each season. The 10 episode freshman run, subtitled The People V. O.J. Simpson, will explore the O.J. Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers and how a combination of prosecution confidence, defense wiliness, and the LAPD’s history with the city’s African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt.
Nathan Lane is the latest addition to a cast which also includes John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, Cuba Gooding Jr as O.J. Simpson, David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian, Sarah Paulson as Deputy DA Marcia Clark, Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran, Selma Blair as Kris Jenner, Leonard Roberts as journalist Dennis Schatzman and Bruce Greenwood as Los Angeles County District Attorney Gil Garcetti.
The debut season of American Crime Story was initially set up as an event series at FX’s sibling Fox and is based on the book is based on a book by CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin, with Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski penning the scripts. 20th Century Fox Television and FX Productions are producing with Ryan Murphy, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Brad Falchuk, Scott Alexander, Larry Karaszewski and Dante Di Loreto executive producing. Production is now underway in LA for a 2016 premiere.
