Madeleine Albright Lands Guest Role On 'Madam Secretary' – TVWise

Madam Secretary, meet Madam Secretary.
Madeleine Albright, who served as the first female US Secretary of State during President Clinton’s second term in office from 1997-2001, has been tapped for a guest starring role on the second season of CBS’ State Department drama Madam Secretary, TVWise has learned.
The former SecState will play herself in an episode, which is set to air this Fall on CBS. In the episode Albright advises Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord (Téa Leoni) on how to navigate a sticky situation with National Security Advisor Craig Sterling (Julian Acosta), that is threatening to fracture her relationship with President Conrad Dalton (Keith Carradine).
Created by Barbara Hall, Madam Secretary follows the personal and professional life of maverick female Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord as she drives international diplomacy, wrangles office politics and balances a complex family life. The drama is produced by CBS Television Studios and stars Tea Leoni, Tim Daly, Zeljko Ivanek, Bebe Neuwirth, Erich Bergen, Geoffrey Arend, Patina Miller, Evan Roe and Katherine Herzer.
