The third season of Australian drama series Wentworth Prison will receive its UK premiere on Channel 5 on Wednesday July 22nd at 10pm, it has been announced.
A reboot of Australian drama series Prisoner Cell Block H, Wentworth Prison is set in the violent dangerous environment of the Wentworth Correctional Centre and follows struggles with inmates and provides insights into their fractious personal lives. The series is produced by FremantleMedia Australia and stars Danielle Cormack, Nicole da Silva, Pamela Rabe, Kate Atkinson, Celia Ireland, Shareena Clanton, Katrina Milosevic, Aaron Jeffery and Robbie Magasiva.
In the show’s 12 episode third season, Bea has assumed the mantle of Top Dog, hailed by all – including Franky Doyle herself – as a worthy successor. Franky may no longer be Top Dog but she’s not about to forget how Liz lagged on her, and Boomer is set make Liz pay. Doreen’s baby bump is growing and Ferguson is watching her closely. While Vera’s instincts are more attuned to Ferguson’s scheming, Will is none the wiser despite Fletch’s apparent hit and run accident. Foxtel’s SoHo channel in Asustralia has already renewed Wentworth for a fourth season.
