Aloma Wright Joins USA's 'Suits' In Recurring Role – TVWise

Aloma Wright is suiting up. The former Scrubs star has joined the cast of USA Network’s legal dramedy Suits in a recurring role for its 16 episode fifth season.
Wright, whose previous credits also include The Soul Man, Scandal, Private Practice and The Middle, will play Gretchen Bodinski, Harvey Specter’s (Gabriel Macht) new secretary. She is described as being “experienced” and is not afraid to speak her mind and as such brings a “fresh perspective” to the firm.
Created by Aaron Korsh, Suits follows Mike Ross, a college dropout with an eidetic memory who, before being kicked out of college for selling an exam paper, once dreamed of becoming an attorney. After Mike wonders into an office while evading the police, he impresses Harvey Specter who then proceeds to hires him as a less-than-legal associate for his law firm. The drama series is produced by Universal Cable Productions and stars Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, Gina Torres, Rick Hoffman, Meghan Markle and Sarah Rafferty.
The fifth season of Suits opens after Pearson Specter Litt has scored a hard-fought victory, but the fight has left the firm shaken. Although she avoided jail time, Donna (Sarah Rafferty) has left Harvey (Gabriel Macht), after more than a decade of working together. She is now working for his long-time rival Louis (Rick Hoffman). Cast additions for season five include Christina Cole (The Assets) as Dr. Paula Agard, a Harvard-educated psychiatrist specializing in high-end corporate consulting.; and John Pyper-Ferguson as Jack, a partner at Pearson Specter Litt who has recently been appointed as the new head of the Compensation Committee.
