NBC is the first network to announce their Fall schedule for the 2015-2016 season and there are a fair number of changes in store.
Notably, Chicago Fire is getting a late launch and wont premiere its fourth season until November. Before then the Tuesday night 10pm time-slot will be filled by the Neil Patrick Harris variety show Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris, which has been facing some controversy due to a stand off between ITV Studios American and the unions.
Hot drama pilot Blindspot, which hails from Arrow and The Flash EP Greg Berlanti, has landed the much coveted post-The Voice Monday night 10pm time-slot. This is the same slot NBC used back un 2013 to successfully launch The Blacklist. Speaking of which, The Blacklist is staying in its Thursday night time-slot, where it will be sandwiched between Heroes: Reborn at 8pm and The Player at 10pm.
Another big change is coming for Undateable. The comedy from Bill Lawrence is being called up for the Fall season after its first season launched in the Summer and its second season debuted at mid-season. The show’s third season, consisting entirely of live episodes, is getting the Friday 8pm time-slot and will serve as the lead into the Mark-Paul Gosselaar starrer People Are Talking.
Meanwhile. a flurry of series are being benched until mid-season. Said series include Hot & Bothered (formerly known as Telenovela), new Chicago Fire spin-off Chicago Med, the 13 episode Coach Revival and comedies Superstore, Crowded, Game Of Silence and the J Lo starrer Shades Of Blue.
