Following NBC’s lead, Fox is the second of the five broadcast network’s to announce details of their Fall 2015-2016 schedule. There are some big changes ahead, including a shake up of their Tuesday night line-up, while the network is arguably giving their new X-Files event series the biggest launch pad possible.

Red hot drama Minority Report is being paired with Gotham on Monday nights, making it the second year in a row that the network has gone with a genre block on the night. Gotham will anchor the night at 8pm leading into Minority Report at 9pm. Meanwhile, former time-slot occupant Sleepy Hollow is being moved to the Thursday nights, where it will air in the 10pm time-slot following new episodes of Bones.

It’s all change on Tuesday nights, with long-time Tuesday night comedy New Girl being benched until mid-season. Instead, the network is going with a risky strategy – with the entire Tuesday line-up consisting of freshman series Grnadfathered (8pm), The Grinder (8:30pm) and Ryan Murphy’s new comedy-horror anthology series Scream Queens (9pm).

Mega hit Empire is staying put in the Wednesday night time-slot where it broke expectations and set new records by growing its audience every week it is on air. Airing just before Empire is new drama Rosewood, which will unspool its debut season in the 8pm time-slot.

As with Empire, Fox has opted to keep its winning Sunday night line-up in tact from last season. As with the 2014-2015 season, Sunday nights will feature new episodes of The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Brooklyn Nine-NineFamily Guy and sleeper hit The Last Man On Earth.

Eagerly anticipated six episode event series The X-Files is being benched until January, when it will kick off with a two-night premiere on Sunday January 24th following the NFC Championship Game at 10pm. The series will then move to the 8pm time-slot on Monday nights from January 25th, where it will continue to air for the following four weeks. After it concludes its run, Gotham will once again assume the slot.
