It's Official: Fox's 'Weird Loners' Cancelled After One Season – TVWise

No real surprises here. Fox has just released their 2015 – 2016 game plan and Weird Loners did not have a slot on the schedule. TVWise has confirmed that the comedy series has been cancelled after one low-rated six episode season.
The comedy premiered on Tuesday March 31st to 1.9 million viewers and a 0.7 A18-49 demo rating. Those numbers, which were below the numbers for the already cancelled Mulaney, already signalled the death of Weird Loners, but Fox let all six episodes air and fans were hopeful when it wasn’t officially cancelled by the network alongside Backstrom and The Following on Friday.
Created by Michael J. Weithorn, Weird Loners is a single-camera comedy about four relationship-challenged mid-30-somethings who are unexpectedly thrust into one another’s lives, forming unlikely bonds in a Queens, NY, townhouse. The comedy series is produced by 20th Century Fox Television and stars Becki Newton (Ugly Betty), Zachary Knighton (Happy Endings), Nate Torrence (Hello Ladies) and newcomer Meera Rohit Kumbhani.
