TVWise continues our Upfronts coverage with a first look image gallery of the new shows that The CW has ordered for the 2015–2016 season.

The CW was another network, like CBS and ABC, that had a very good 2014-2015 season. They had a decent success rate, with new entries The Flash, Jane The Virgin and iZombie launching well and quickly earning second seasons. In addition, nearly every one of the returning series (bar Hart Of Dixie) also earned renewals.

That being the case, their line-up for 2015-2016 looks quite like their line up for 2014-2015. CW brass passed on buzzy pilots Cheerleader Death Squad, from Desperate Housewives and Devious Maids creator Marc Cherry; Dead People, from JJ Abrams’ shingle Bad Robot; and ambitious weekly anthology Tales From The Dark Side.

Instead they targeted an established property, further mining the DC Comics catalogue, by greenlighting Arrow/Flash spin-off DC’s Legends of Tommorrow; whilst also granting a series order to Containment, from The Vampire Diaries’ EP Julie Plec.

The third project to get a series order, in large part to keep something of a balance between CW supplies WBTV and CBS Television Studios, was Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, a comedy originally developed for premium cable network (and CW’s corporate sibling) Showtime.

The network has now released the first images from all three of their new series (Containment, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow), which you can check out in the gallery below.
