BBC Two's 'Line Of Duty' Adds Lisa Palfrey As Series Regular – TVWise

EXCLUSIVE: Lisa Palfrey has joined the cast of Line Of Duty as a series regular for its six episode third season, which is now filming in Belfast, Northern Ireland for a 2016 premiere. She will play Inspector Tracey McAndrew, who finds herself drawn into AC-12’s investigation when Danny Waldron’s actions are called into question.
From Jed Mercurio, Line Of Duty follows police anti-corruption unit AC-12. The six episode third season sees the unit investigate Sergeant Danny Waldron. The highly proficient leader of an Armed Response Unit, Waldron’s unpredictable behaviour is becoming a threat to colleagues and suspects. When AC-12 are called in to investigate Danny’s conduct, even they could find themselves in the firing line.
Lisa Palfrey, whose previous credits include Family Tree and The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, is the latest cast addition for the new season of Line Of Duty. Other new series regulars include Daniel Mays (Common), Will Mellor (Broadchurch), Leanne Best (Ripper Street) and Arsher Ali (Arthur & George); all of whom will star alongside returning cast members Martin Compston, Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar.
Line Of Duty, which has already been renewed for a fourth season, is produced by indie World Productions, with support from Northern Ireland Screen. Peter Norris is the series producer, while Jed Mercurio, Simon Heath and the BBC’s Stephen Wright are serving as executive producers. Critical helmer Michael Keillor is directing the first three episodes of the show’s third season.
