BBC One Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell’

Strange & Norrell (First Look)BBC One’s seven part fantasy series Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell will premiere on Sunday May 17th at 9pm, it has been announced.

Based on the bestselling novel by Susanna Clarke, Jonathan Strange And Mr Norrell is set during the Napoleonic Wars in an England where magic once existed and is about to return. Peter Harness penned the scripts for the series, which is being produced by Cuba Pictures in association with BBC America, Feel Film, Far Moor, Screen Yorkshire and Bell Media’s Space

The cast includes Eddie Marsan (Ray Donovan), Bertie Carvel (Hidden), Alice Englert (Beautiful Creatures), Marc Warren (Mad Dogs), Samuel West (Fleming), Charlotte Riley (Easy Virtue), Enzo Cilenti (Prisoners Wives) and Paul Kaye (Game of Thrones). The executive producers are Matthew Read, Nick Marston, Justin Thomson-Glover, Patrick Irwin, Tally Garner and Dixie Linder.
