Jenny Slate (Married) and Ari Graynor (Bad Teacher) are set to star in a new single-camera comedy pilot for FX Networks which hails from Obvious Child’s Elisabeth Holm and Gillian Robespierre.
Created by Holm and Robespierre, the untitled comedy follows two creative partners, Lou (Jenny Slate) and Viv (Ari Graynor), as they go on a cross-country trip together. Native New Yorkers, the two discover each other in their 30s, make a movie together, and jump into the great unknown of their next project.
As with all FX Networks comedy projects, it has not yet been determined if it will land at FX or FXX in the event that it goes to series. FX Productions is producing, with Elisabeth Holm, Gillian Robespierre, Ravi Nandan and John Hodges executive producing. Co-creator Robespierre is also attached to direct.
Production on the pilot gets underway in New York on Tuesday.
