BBC One has announced that Atlantis will return to finish airing its 13 episode second season from Saturday April 11th at 7:45pm, it has been announced.
Created by Howard Overman, Atlantis is set in legendary city of the same name: a mysterious ancient place that the young Jason arrives in and begins an amazing adventure, bringing to life the vast store of Greek myths and legends. The series is produced by Urban Myth Films & BBC Cymru Wales in association with BBC America and stars Jack Donnelly, Mark Addy, Juliet Stevenson, Sarah Parish, Jemima Rooper, Aiysha Hart and Robert Emms.
In the next new episode, news reaches Pasiphae of Ariadne and Jason’s impending marriage, and so terrified that Atlantis will be lost to her forever, resolves to do all she can to stop the union, no matter the cost. But Pasiphae’s pursuit of power has far-reaching and devastating consequences, and as the battle for Atlantis continues, it seems none is immune to her touch. The BBC recently confirmed that Atlantis will not be returning for a third season.
