BBC One has unveiled the first trailer for The Ark, their one-off drama starring David Threlfall (Shamless, What Remains).
The Ark will tell the story of Noah (David Threlfall), a farmer and family man who is instructed by an angel to build an ark in the middle of a desert in order to save both his family and the faithful from a devastating flood. A seemingly impossible task, especially when his sons refuse to believe him and help, Noah risks ridicule and humiliation from the degenerate townsfolk as well as his loving but exasperated family, in his quest to carry out his God-given task.
In addition to David Threlfall, The Ark also stars Joanne Whalley (The Borgias), Nico Mirallegro (The Village), Ashley Walters (Truckers), Emily Bevan (In The Flesh), Hannah John-Kamen (Death in Paradise), Georgina Campbell (One Night), Ian Smith (The Syndicate), Michael Fox (New Worlds) and Andrew Hawley (Hinterland).
Tony Jordan penned the script for The Ark, which is being produced by his indie Red Planet Pictures. Jules Hussey is the producer, while Tony Jordan, Red Planet’s Belinda Campbell and the BBC’s Polly Hill serve as executive producers. The director is Kenny Glenaan.
