Mireille Enos Set As Lead In ABC's Shondaland Pilot 'The Catch' – TVWise

Mireille Enos is returning to television.
The former star of AMC’s The Killing has been tapped to play the lead in The Catch, ABC’s hour-long drama pilot from Hannibal‘s Jennifer Schur and Scandal & How To Get Away With Murder production company Shondaland, TVWise has learned.
The Catch follows Alice a woman about to get married and conned. Unbeknownst to her slippery fiance, Alice — who investigates fraud for a living — is not all she claims to be. And when the fiance’s expertly planned con collides with her perfectly constructed lies, they plunge into a dangerous game of cat and mouse
Mireille Enos, whose previous television credits also include Big Love, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and CSI: Miami, will play Alice, who is described as a “gutsy female forensic accountant. Meanwhile, Taxi Brooklyn’s Jacky Ido has also been cast in the pilot as FBI agent Thomas Delgado, Deadline reports.
The hour-long project was one of several dramas to score pilot orders at ABC back in January. The project is based on the novel by Kate Atkinson and is being produced by Shondaland and ABC Studos. Hannibal scribe Jennifer Schur is penning the script, while Shondaland’s Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers will executive produce. Julie Anne Robinson is also attached to direct and executive produce.
