History Developing Vietnam War Drama 'The Boys Of '67' – TVWise

History is adding another drama series to their development slate.
The A+E Networks owned and operated cabler has put into development The Boys Of ’67, an hour-long drama series set during the height of the Vietnam War.
The Boys Of ’67 tells the story of the First Platoon of Charlie Company, 9th Infantry Division; the only division raised, trained and deployed en masse to service in Vietnam.
The hour-long project is set up at History’s sister studio A+E Studios, who will produce in association with Head First Productions and Muse Entertainment. Jeb Stuart is penning the script and will executive produce alongside Jim Head and Michael Prupas.
For its part, The Boys Of ’67 is the second scripted drama that History has added to their development slate in the past week as the network is aiming to launch a second long-running original drama following the global success of Vikings, which was just renewed for a fourth season. The other drama series in active development is Knightfall, about the fall of the Knights Templar.
