The second season of SundanceTV’s original drama series The Red Road will receive its UK premiere on Amazon Prime Instant Video UK on Saturday April 4th, it has been announced. New episodes will be released on the streaming service every Saturday.
Created by Aaron Guzikowski, The Red Road revolves around two clashing communities – a small town and the neighboring mountains, home to a Native American tribe – and two dynamic men on a collision course. The series, which has the distinction of being Sundance’s second original drama, stars Martin Henderson, Jason Momoa, Julianne Nicholson and Tamara Tunie.
The show’s six episode second season is set to pick up from from the adrenaline-filled shootout involving local cop Harold Jensen (Martin Henderson) and Philip Kopus (Jason Momoa) in the season one finale. By the end of the opening episode an unexpected murder has taken place that hints at the ripped-from-the-headlines topics ahead, including toxic dumping which raises the stakes for all the characters.
