TV Trailer: ‘John Sandford’s Certain Prey’ On FOX UK – TVWise

FOX UK has released a new trailer for their Mark Harmon fronted TV movie John Sandford’s Certain Prey, which premieres tonight (December 15th) at 9pm.
John Sandford’s Certain Prey follows Lucas Davenport (Harmon), the Deputy Chief of Police for the city of Minneapolis who is called in to investigate when a cop is shot after witnessing the murder of the wife of a local real estate lawyer. The investigation soon zeroes in on hit woman Clara Rinker, and Carmel Loan, a high-powered attorney who had an obsession with the real estate lawyer. As Carmel and Clara try to cover up their crimes, the body count grows and Davenport does what he does best — break all of the rules to close the case.
The TV movie is based on one of the more than 20 novels in the Prey series by John Sandford and was adapted for television by Chris Gerolmo. In addition to Mark Harmon, it also stars Tatiana Maslany (before she became a household name as the star of BBC America’s Orphan Black) and Lola Glaudini (Criminal Minds). Certain Prey was produced for NBCU’s USA Network, who had originally envisioned it as the first entry in a new TV movie franchise. Those plans were subsequently abandoned, however, after the movie aired in 2011 to mediocre ratings.
As TVWise previously reported, FOX UK acquired the TV movie last month alongside the third Jack Irish film. Its debut on the FIC owned and operated channel comes just ahead of UK premiere of the new season of NCIS, also starring Mark Harmon. The show’s twelfth season will premiere on FOX UK on Fridays from January 9th, before subsequently being paired with new acquisition Murder In The First the following week.
