Lifetime UK Slots Repeat Of Ratings Winning 'Grumpy Cat' TV Movie For Christmas Day – TVWise

Lifetime UK has scheduled a repeat of ‘Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever’ for Christmas Day, after the TV movie pulled in strong ratings for the female skewing channel upon its initial broadcast in the UK earlier this month, TVWise can reveal.
The 90 minute tele-pic, originally ordered by the US Lifetime network, was acquired by the UK channel in a deal announced in November and premiered on Lifetime UK on Thursday December 4th. That broadcast drew a consolidated audience of more than 60K viewers, according to recently released ratings figures.
That strong showing made it not only one of the top programmes to air on Lifetime UK that week, but also one of the channel’s highest rated TV movies of 2014 – beating the likes of the Mira Sorvino fronted Stephen King adaptation Big Driver; and Drew Peterson: Untouchable, starring Rob Lowe.

That all changes when, during the holidays, a 12-year-old girl named Chyrstal enters the pet store and falls in love with her after realizing she is the only person who can hear this unique cat talk. The TV movie stars Aubrey Plaza, Evan Todd, Dan Roebuck, Megan Charpentier and Isaac Haig .
Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever airs on Lifetime UK (Sky 156 / Virgin 242 / TalkTalk 490) on Christmas Day (Thursday December 25th) at 9pm.
