The fifth and final season of Damages will receive its UK broadcast premiere on Lifetime UK on Tuesday January 13th at 10pm, it has been announced.
Created by Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler and Daniel Zelman, Damages follows lawyers Patty Hewes and her protégé Ellen Parsons, who have a complicated relationship, as they take on high profile cases. The drama series, which aired on FX for three seasons before moving to DirecTV, is produced by Sony Pictures Television and stars Glenn Close, Rose Byrne, Ryan Phillipe, Jenna Elfman, Janet McTeer and John Hannah.
The show’s fifth season sets the stage for the final showdown between Patty and Ellen. Channing McClaren is a computer expert and the iconoclastic founder of a website, McClarenTruth.org, devoted to government and corporate transparency. When McClaren is approached by Naomi Walling, an investment bank employee troubled by her company’s conduct with insider information, it lays the foundation for the case that will finally pit Patty and Ellen against one another.
